Min Hee-jin Argued With A Reporter Who Asked Her To Talk Briefly During Press Conference

Min Hee-jin held a press conference to meet with reporters at the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul at 2:30 p.m. on May 31 and delivered her position in person. This second press conference was held 36 days after the first press conference on April 25.
At the event, Min Hee-jin answers the reporters’ questions, such as, “Is there any problem with the contract between shareholders and whether the dismissed directors will continue to work.” She also revealed her explanation of the last press conference, her management philosophy, and future plan for NewJeans.

When Min’s response was prolonged, a reporter suddenly said, “I’m sorry, but I understand that it’s a question-and-answer session and there’s not much time, so please answer the question first. I ask you to answer quickly because you said you were going to add additional words.” Min responded, “I can increase the time. I gave you the answer. I’m sorry, but this is an important message for me.”
The reporter added, “We’re people who don’t have time and it’s Q&A time.” CEO Min said, “I’m sorry, but I’ll just talk about this and later I will take your question first, as you seem to have to leave soon,” and did not budge. The reporter said, “Everyone came in a hurry. You (CEO Min) called us here in a hurry in the morning. As far as I know, everyone has a lot of questions. I’m sorry, but please speak briefly and take some questions.”

“I’m sorry, but I don’t think you’re going to scold me,” Min said with a laugh. “We’re also in a hurry and we have a lot of questions,” the corresponding reporter added. Upon hearing this, Min said, “The number of questions is not fixed. I’m telling you this because it is an important content. I’ll try to keep it as short as I can,” smiling.
Afterwards, CEO Min responded to the question of the plan for NewJeans and said, “The reporter asked me to finish it as soon as possible, but I was actually almost done. I will take questions from the reporter who asked me earlier first.”
Meanwhile, Min appeared in a bright expression and outfit, unlike the first press conference. She also offered reconciliation to HYBE. When asked if she was suggesting reconciliation, Min replied, “Yes.” “That is natural. Now that we have fought so hard, I think we should move on to another chapter for everyone.”
